Title: WTB ISO: 1999 BST33 carbs
Post by: struckjm on January 30, 2021, 12:25:19 PM
Pretty much any condition. I was rebuilding my own, and got an extractor broke off in the pilot jet.

I have all I need to rebuild a used one.

I am in Richmond, VA. If postage is reasonable, should be 'mailable'. Hit me up! You'd be saving my ass!

If anyone else reading knows where I can find a reasonably priced carburetor, feel free to share links. I found one place to buy new ($375) and not much on eBay right now.

Hi there,
I saw your post on the GS500 Facebook page, too.  :)
I've got a set I would sell. I'm in PA. Early GS500 carbs. I can send you photos tomorrow when it is light out. They are in good shape. I bought them with the idea I'd have spares that were set up and clean and ready to go on if ever needed. Well, they were never needed. 🙂
They need to be rebuilt with new seals, gaskets, cleaned etc. I bought them and never rebuilt them yet.
$75 plus shipping to you.
Let me know and thanks.

I messaged you on FB! Hopefully we can work something out. Your carbs sound perfect for what I need.

I'm still in the market if anyone has a spare carburetor on hand?

Thanks 🙏🏼

I have a pair with some parts missing, some parts broken, etc. If you just need the cast alloy cores they are probably ok but you will need to absolutely service everything and potentially replace everything besides the cast body.

I figured I'd keep them around to steal parts from as stuff breaks but I could be convinced to sell to someone who's desperate. $50+shipping?

I appreciate it. I will wait for the time being. My carbs were repaired. I was doing a full rebuild and I couldn't get one of the old jets out. But a machinist neighbor got it out for me.
