Hey guys, I'm in a trip for couple of days with a passager and I just noticed the the rubber Bush in the rear shock broke down, is it safe to drive like this for another couple of days until I get home?
well, easy answer would be no, it has bottomed out alrdy to the point it broke the bushing and soon the shock's gone. ofc you could drive with a broken shock.. but that would be a bumpy ride and not very safe..
To be honest I don't really have a choice.., planing to replace it as soon as I get home, I assume if I drive slow and aboid bumps I could manage it...

be safe, also, check for a shock upgrade, eg. katana or r6. I swapped to a gsx600 (katana) shock and it's way better than the original
Definetly, already ordered an r6 shock, maybe I can get away without grinding the frame :)
That bushing will die on its own, from road grime and age and what ever. Not meaning that you didn't bottom the shock, but its not proof of bottoming, in fact the bushing will be missing if you had bottomed it more than likely.
As always the solution is a better shock off a bigger bike (kat, R6 etc).
Cool.
Buddha.
Sounds good, I have a bit more peace of mind, the new shock is on the way :), and that should be the end of these problems.
