Title: would a missing Vacuum Chamber cause issues?
Post by: mentalshark on August 08, 2021, 11:04:00 PM
Hi, I have a 2004 GS500f. I took the carburetor out for the first time. before I put it back, I found a hose that was capped off, and looking at the diagram I found on bikebandit.com, I found that the missing hose leads to a thing called  "CHAMBER, VACUUM" (image below, number 74). I am having a hard time finding information about what it does and if it would be a problem without it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? much appreciated.

I have removed it and capped it off on my 2006 GS500F. No issues on my bike. I also removed all the other PAIR system equipment and disconnected the Throttle Position Sensor to simplify carb maintenance and tuning.
