Title: Rear rim bent
Post by: adrafiq.52 on August 29, 2021, 11:05:10 PM
I guess I was riding pretty hard where I shouldn't have. Hit a crator in the dark of night.  Probably the one that killed dinosaurs. who knew that was in Pakistan.
Anyway here is the damage.
Stopped immediately to inspect the front wheel because it was so hard jerk and the slapper that followed. Nothing on the front, I hopped back on lo and behold. The rear took the damage.

Question? Worth getting fixed or replacing?

There is a way to straighten it, but are replacements easy to get over there ?
The rims were same for pre 96 Katana 600 and 750 I think.

Cool.

Not sure about Pakistan, but here in the states you can get used rims off eBay for $50 to $100 all day long. Swap in new bearings for peace of mind.
I can't imagine you could get it fixed for cheaper than that.

Yupp. This model was widely used as a police bike. Infact mine is also a police auctioned restores. I have a rim listing for both front and back for 100 usd.
