I am deseperatly searching for a solo seat system for my 01 to no avail, many have talked and none have shown. Or does anyone have any ideas of maybe fabbing these pieces to fit, I think pantablo might have been on the right lines with the bandit tail cover.
I got a hold of the guy at wild hair acce. today and he said the gimbel seat will fit the 01 GS500, he stated they come primed and ready to paint so anyone that has a 01 and wants a single seat system can check with them.
Check the returns on the seat before you order. I'm not so sure that it will fit w/out mods as the shape of the 01+ tank is different than the previous years. Mounting points are also different. </obvious>
I'm looking for a 916-style tail for mine :thumb: I saw one on a TL1000 and it looked sweet.
was that tiller a yellow one? I saw one like that and the 916 tail looks good on it!

Check the part numbers on the pre 01 solo seat and the post 01 solo seat they sell. The older style and newer style seats are SIGNIFICANTLY different.
pantablo were are you seeing a 2001 seat on their site I am only seeing a 2000 seat, when I called the guy he said the blue one displayed on the site is the 01 but the site on the top says it is the 00, is he confused or am I?? I would really like to get a solo seat for mine but whanna make sure I get the right thing, and I am not to fond of doing a bunch of mods to make it fit.
