Lately I come across more and more GS' that are simply bad a@@. Going to start posting them so I can easily go back and admire them at my own selfish convenience :icon_mrgreen: If you see any, please feel free to post! Love em all!!

Interesting!
What's the deal with running the rear brake caliper under the swingarm? Funny thing is, my Bonneville has it this way, it's a huge annoyance, and a lot of Bonnie owners switch it to the top side.
And I guess looking cool is better than seeing, because again I see these bar end mirrors under the bars. Which reminds me, I have a new set of bar end mirrors to mount, need to order the mounting hardware...
"What's the deal with running the rear brake caliper under the swingarm" I didn't even notice that but I might do that on the Nightrain. That would solve my clearance to exhaust,... Thanks for pointing that out!
Yeah the Bonneville has the single-sided exhaust on the non-brake side.
I would imagine keeping the exhaust heat off the caliper is a reasonably good thing.
But putting it on a paddock stand is going to be a royal pain, let me tell you. And getting the rear wheel on and off is going to be not easy.
The physics say that an underslung calliper will reduce loading on the axle bearings when braking and the opposite for a overhung calliper, up shot smaller and lighter bearings and parts.......... And of course for the racers it makes for getting the wheel in and out easier and quicker because Isaac newton is on your side.
Put Tony Foales book on your reading list........ https://motochassis.com/product/book-motorcycle-handling-chassis-design/ (https://motochassis.com/product/book-motorcycle-handling-chassis-design/) ......Section 12
Now that is thinking outside the box. I love it - especially the first one.

I wonder why the last two bikes have passenger footrests...
They're really, really, really hoping they'll get a girl/boy friend without a brain? :kiss3:
Or matching hair/jacket/boots p'raps? :dunno_black:

Man love that red gsE with belly pan in the first photo. Still my dream setup for the gs. You think it's an early gsxr fork setup on it?
