Title: 2005 seat
Post by: mishbenz on March 29, 2022, 05:55:22 AM
Hey!
So iv got a 2005 GS500E

I use it to deliver for UberEast, loving it so far but i becomes a little uncomfortable after a few hours and i want to be able to be on the bike for 6+ hours with reasonable comfort

I found https://www.topsellerie.com/en-us/deluxe-seat-SGC6380-suzuki-gs-500-2002_156.html but it seems like its only 2002 and later? would it be able to fit my bike?

There's 2 Kinds of GS500 seats. Atleast in the US.
2000 and earlier.
2001 and later. That's all. So any seat for one after 2001 will fit the 05.
BTW they look very different, again only 2 kinds.
Old kind has a big "tongue" going up the tank.
New kind has 2 "cheeks" going on either side of the tank.
If your seat looks like the one in the pic being sold for a GS500, it will fit.
Cool.
Buddha.

I have a top sellerie seat with extra height added to get some more leg room. It is definitely more comfortable than stock but it is not a magic bullet. I think more time in the saddle is more important than the seat itself. When I am lucky enough to take 2 week motorcycle trips I notice my butt getting used to the long days by the end. You butt will adapt to sitting on the bike all day.
