Title: My bikes rear wheel is not stock
Post by: clucas on June 22, 2022, 05:11:39 PM
Rear wheel is not stock. The design is similar to stock but the brake rotor has 5 bolt holes instead of 4 and the rims 'spokes' are straight instead of wavy. Do yall know what it might be? I'm trying to order pads and a rotor and I'm mostly wondering if any 5 bolt pattern will work or how I would go about this

That is what the design looks like for the most part but its flat black and look a little bit different i think. can we upload pics directly to this thread? if so im going to take pics of it on my break and see what size of tire is on it. the rear fairings and brake light is not stock either. now im wondering if the front forks are stock or not because theyre leaking and i was planning on replacing the seals and bushing next week too lol

SV650 first gen (and 2nd gen kat - same thing) with bearing swap or bandit 400 is all that will fit.
Now B4 wheels are swirl not straight. So my guess, you have a 17mm ID bearing swapped into an SB wheel. Is it a 4.5" ?? then its an SV/kat. B4 wheels are 4".
Cool.

alright... so as far as i can tell the rear wheel matches the 99-02 sv650. the tire on it is a 130/70 r17. google says the stock tire size for the sv650 was 160/60 r17. i wasnt able to upload any pictures i couldnt get my pics to be a small enough file size. also the rear caliper is stock. all im wondering now is if i buy a sv650 rotor will it fit right with the caliper since theres not really anything else the wheel could have been swapped from?

The 160 is a tight fit in the swingarm. Maybe that's why they put the 130, though 150 fits fine even on the 4" without pinching or hitting stuff (though I have gone to hanging caliper on mine)
I'm not sure, about your exact situation, but carefully examine the parts and get the ones that fit yours. I'm a B4 guy, I have only used those.

You can share pictures but they have to be hosted on another website. Since Photobucket went crazy a while back, I switched to imgur and it has been working well for me.
