Title: exhaust measurement needed
Post by: almiester3 on February 02, 2023, 06:30:32 PM
Hi can anyone give me the outside diameter measurement of the exhaust in the area i've circled thanks. Just that previous owner fitted the muffler & bandaged wrapped over the join suggesting a bodge & i want to change it as to loud. In mm would be great thanks322672805_955100768988565_4716533618565671549_n.jpg

Depends on year - 89-00 is 1.5 OD. 01 and later depending on where exactly that circle covers it can be 1.5 to 1.75 transition or the 1.75 OD. Measure to be sure where you want to cut and adapt.
Cool.

On my stock 2009 exhaust the pipe after the 4 into 1 collector is 55mm O.D.

Hope that helps.

Woweee ... You have a 4 cyl GS500 !!! Man suzuki shafted me. But then again I do prefer the 2 over the 4.
