I have a very nice (nearly mint) 2004 yellow F model with 2,300 miles that I plan on stripping down to do track days. It'll likely be my trackbike until I am too old to ride and I hate to have the fairings brackets etc sit in the attic. Ideally I would sell it as an entire kit of parts to turn an E into an F. Is there any demand for such a thing? Thanks.
i think the general trend now is to convert it to a naked, cafe racer/brat style and chopping frames.
I like the fairing for touring but its to much hassle of brackets, mountings and panels breaking.
the simplicity of a naked bike is very appealing and since spare parts are more scarce an will continue to be extinct , personally i wouldnt spend money in a fairing.
only if its very cheap.
i would put my effort in lugagge racks.
or making the central tail fairing piece tant is very very rare to find.
Depending on where you're located in the world, yes, you could sell those F parts. As an Admin on the Suzuki GS500 fb group, I see inquiries come up for replacement fairings often... usually after a drop or someone wanting to fix up an abused bike or wanting the wind protection the fairings offer.
Thanks for the reply. My membership to the FB page is pending.
Hi there,
I have a 1991 GS500E and might be interested.
Where are you located and how much do you want?
Thanks,

Located SE Michigan. Will list them when I sort things out. Really prefer to work with someone nearby and avoid shipping
