Title: Delkevic Slip-On Exhausts
Post by: ttly_vette57 on April 11, 2023, 11:59:53 AM
Hey everyone,
I have a 2007 GS500F and am looking to get a slip-on exhaust for it. So far the best option I can find is this Delkevic:
https://delkevic.com/mufflers-slip-on/suzuki/2007-models/gs500f-2003-2009/

On the website it says it only fits up to '02, but will this still fit my bike? And does anyone have experience with these mufflers? Do you need to rejet? How long does the shipping take?

Thanks!

No experience with that specific exhaust, but the pipe diameter did change at some point. All full systems should be compatible for all years but I could see a slip-on being year specific.

I tried the stock exhaust, the Vance and Hines full system, the Jardine full system, and a Wileyco carbon fiber bolt on with the adapter The Buddha (member here) used to make.

I did not like the V&H. Its extremely loud and kind of higher pitched so it sounds like a hot-rodded lawn mower.
The Jardine sounds better but still too loud for my taste. A quiet insert helps. I love that it is full stainless, including the headers so its the only maintenance free options. No more keeping up with repainting or stove polishing the headers every year or two.
The Wileyco was the best. Not much louder than stock but a great deep growl. But I scratched it up in a crash and the Buddha doesn't make the bolt on adapters anymore.

In retrospect, the stock exhaust is fine, just a little heavy. I probably should have just left it in place and saved all the money and rejetting trouble.
