Title: Windshield experiences

Simple as that, have  you used one on the gs?
Clear, toned or opaque?
Angle recommendations?

I'm team windshield. I like a small one to help with the wind at higher speeds.

I use a Slipsteamer S-06 in clear. It gives me the perfect amount of protection and I like the way it looks.

I angle it a bit back. I'd say it's approximately the same angle as the forks.

I installed it yesterday , today I noticed the wind hits around my nose.
I want to experiment with angle as I have it pretty upright, but I have to cut the supporting metal rod to do so.

The edge of the screen is about the same level as my lips.

You got the S-06?

If so, you can bend the supporting rods a bit. They're pretty soft metal. I did that on mine to tweak it in.

The wind will always hit around the top of the shield. Angle might help a bit.

I use a very large madstad windshield for the winter and longer tours. I find that it needs to be at least as tall as your mouth in order to deflect all the wind over your head. It also needs to be relatively wide to get the wind around your helmet. I like a very slight tint to help with glare.

In the summer I sometimes run with no windshield at all, which I find to be the only other acceptable setup. No windshield, or a very small fly screen, keeps the wind blast completely below your helmet so your head is in the clean air. Not as comfortable as a giant windscreen, but much better than one that dumbs all the air into the bottom of your helmet.

@Roofaloof  Im using this. I tried another bigger model but i had interference with brake pump and even the mirrors.

Now i am at the point that all the wind is deflecting at the center of the helmet.
Seating at the bike, the windshield edge is about my lips.

So if have the visor open, all the wind goes directly to my eyes.
My only fear is that is too short, i think with a bit of angle i can make it work, i hope so.

Last resort, distancing it from the headlight.

Hey, I see you've bought one already, anyway maybe it will be interesting to someone else:
I'm using the Universal Naked Wind Shield from Puig. Definitely helps at highway speeds. The angle needed some tweaking though.
