Title: Seat wobbling
Post by: Armandorf on May 08, 2024, 07:51:28 PM
My seat is loose, and by loose i mean it woobles laterally. Im missing some rubbers that push up the tab of the seat(plastic) to the channel the bracket has.
I would really appreciate some photos of the latch gap between the tank and the metal "channel"on the bracket that connect tanf to frame(4th pic)
I will post pixtures and update this so its more clear.

The tab is almost touching the tank lip(1st pic). 2mm gap. I dont know if this bracket is bent.

Im missing a rubber that sits on the battery to push it up and other rubbers that seat on the frame.(3rd pic)
i plan to get them.
Without the rubber the plastic base of the seats bends (like a banana )and the tab that locks to the the tank bracket is loose.

If i push the seat towards the tank it is secure and firm but the latch on the back(pillion side) is at least 3 cm off and misses the pins.
The metal in the seat (2nd pic)that locks in the latch is adjustable but that is not enough

I will test with cardboard or something to emulate the rubbers , the main concern is if the tab is right.

Thanks

I got a Corbin seat that I have to re upholstery, it has a metal base, today I realized the seat lock is not locking entirely because the cable has "shrunk" or the sheat is elongated. Don't know but in the plastic rest of the lock it doesn't let the locking latches totally extend to lock the seat.

The tank-frame-seat bracket can be moved so the tank is closer to the seat?? I understand that bracket is fixed to frame but now the Corbin seat is 2cm apart from the tank.
I have to drain all the gasoline first so I can flip the tank.
