Title: Troubleshooting Help
Post by: Batgirl88 on August 03, 2024, 12:05:27 PM
Hello, my dad and I are working on my 2006 suzuki gs500f. My boyfriend tipped it over at low speeds at the beginning of the summer and it's been giving us nothing but issues since. It was leaking gas right after it tipped, but hasn't since. Then it wouldn't stay running and would jolt me back and forth at low speeds. We've replaced the pulse generator coil, new fuel lines, new spark plugs, and the rectifier regulator. There was a slight clicking sound when we gave it a little bit of gas, but that seemed to stop for now. It is still jolting back and forth at lower speeds but not as bad as before, and sometimes there is a loud popping noise when we Rev it in the garage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The loud popping noise is generally a sign of an air leak. Check that the carbys are seated in the rubber manifolds properly and that the maniffolds are in good condition.
