What kind of battery life are you guys getting from your bikes, last Motobatt MB10U I only got 2 years from.
I'm wondering if my regulator rectifier is dodgy and damaging the battery? Apparently suzukis don't have the best electrics, and they can let a lot of AC noise through to the charging circuit and shorten the life of the battery.
What are you guys seeing?
I have had to replace the battery twice in the five years I have had the bike.. The battery that came with the bike had a hole in the bottom of it 'cause there was nothing to stop a bolt head wearing through it... The lead acid batttery I replaced it with lasted two years before dropping a cell and the AGM battery in it now has lasted for a touch over three years.
For some reason winter (https://www.slashgear.com/1437341/real-reason-car-batteries-likely-die-winter-about/) is the most common time for a battery to fail.
Hope that helps.
Also what was mention by mo_tunes about the rub from the bolts, put a thin rubber mat in the bottom of the battery box. It will save you much grief in the long run.

yeah...and battery tender as needed
Yeah, I do keep her charged up. If I don't ride her for a month I'll put her on the battery tender.
I changed the reg, rec just to see if the old one was possibly breaking down and letting too much AC, or something like that, through. Port a cheap ass gel battery, will see what transpires
