Title: Digital speedo & tach?
Post by: Matthewscarn on February 23, 2025, 03:07:12 PM
Hey everyone! I'm very new to bikes, 06 gs500f is my first bike. I was wondering is there any compatible digital dash's that can be wired in? Thank you in advance.

I had one on a gs I had awhile back.  It was a trail tech if I remember right.  I liked how by day it would darken and at night lit up automatically.  It was already hooked up when I bought that gs so I can't help you with hooking it up but seems like you'd just follow the directions,...

I did it, if you have old style gs(mechanical tach) and harness you have to pinch a cable to get the TCI pulse. if ypu have the newer one(electric tach) you only need the tach signal and ground.
For the dash, it has to be for 2 cyl , they usually have a config for different cylinder counts. it really measures the sparks signal and uses that frequency (pulses to rpm)
get the wiring diagrams.
