Title: Carburetors and high RPM when hot
Post by: Marikoj on July 02, 2025, 11:18:08 AM
Hi, i have 25kw version of GS 500 e 1997 jeting is 115/40 and i put 127,5 main jet to make 35kw version and sealed the holes in slide.

But my question is how many turns on air/fuel mixture screw now? I set it like 3 turns on both carbs.
And is it needed to sync carbs again?

When bike is cold it holds around 1200 RPM but when it warms up it holds like 2100 RPM and RPM goes slow down when i give it gas.

Screw for idle does nothing.

Sometimes my rpms will go up like that if I get it hot, freeway riding for extended times.  I figure like armandorf said that there might be a leak in there.  I'll get to it one of these days,...
