Title: cam chain guide replacment?
Post by: Reshef on September 24, 2025, 11:58:56 AM
I've opened my engine, replacing the piston rings and I noticed my cam chain guide is looking worn.
Do I need to replace it?
Any how-to video or instruction?
Does it require dismantling more of the engine than its current situation?

I think you have to split the cases to do do that.

Guide shows excessive wear, how many miles?

Also shows misalignment of either the guide and/or the cam chain,
further inspection recommended, especially the teeth in the
middle of crankshaft, and the teeth at both camshafts.

Is there a low mileage motor available near you?
