Seeing as this is just open to air, does it matter that the end broke off?
Or will that matter

You need to cap that off. They have plates made for that someone on this site was making them awhile back

its the top tee. it broke off on one of the brass parts going in to the tee. does it matter as the top tee is open to the air?
