Title: Front Shock Rebuild
Post by: Jhonesy on April 13, 2026, 02:34:02 AM
Hello everyone,

My left front shock started leaking through the top dust cover.
Taking this opportunity to try doing a rebuild.
Anyone have any good suggestions for rebuild kits? I've seen a few bad reviews about the All Balls Racing seals and bushings and don't want to chance spending time and money for nothing.

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask this, I don't hang around here much.

My experience is use original Suzuki seals if you can get them - pattern ones failed within a month for me. Others have had no probs, ymmv. Standard forks are rocking horse suspension - Lots of stuff about progressive springs, oil, spacers etc etc if you search the site.  I got a mechanic with the right tools for driving in the new seals to do mine - worth it for an hour & a half of labour costs.

I agree with using OEM Suzuki seals if you can find them in your part of the world.

Yeah, I was afraid of that answer. OEM seals and bearings cost a bit more than I'm happy to spend right now, at least from what I was able to research.
