I finally got around to setting up the wireless router I bought so Anne could use her computer in the next room. Wow was that easy!
Kudos to Belkin for a foolproof installation!
Shouldn't this be in odds'n'ends?
...<runs and hides>
Yeah :? (hides behind a harley)
John,
now you can sit on the toilet and tap away at the keyboard...
john i hope you secured your wireless.. otherwise your giving free access to the web unless you plan to do so.. which in case is fine.
If your using file sharing or something then fine.. otherwise your leaving your network wide open (well either case its wide open).
I like free access points, when driving I netstumble and find access points that i can access the web from..
just a reminder, change the default belkin password.... you have no idea how many AP's i have gotten into with the default AP password..

I bought a router last month, and finally installed my Orinoco 802.11b card on my laptop. Two networks became available in my hood other than my own. Long story short, i disconnected mine and just run off my neighbor's unsecure network. If his dog didn't bark all the time i'd feel bad....
When classes are up for this term i'm definitely gonna lock mine down.
I have run for 3 years now my wireless connection. Desktop, and 3 laptops if you include the fiance....wirless is like broadband....once you convert...you don't go back.
Congrats you can now tap and crap at the same time!
