Title: k&n and rejet - wow.
Post by: jiggersplat on March 15, 2004, 07:31:41 AM
the butt dyno tells me the k&n pod plus rejetting the carbs gives a significant power improvement.  anyone who hasn't done it, i'd recommend it.  of course, i hadn't ridden in 5 months, so it could all be in my head.  the butt dyno might need some calibration.

Doesn't need calibaration. If the buttdyno tells that you got more power, it's ok. Even when in reality you don't have more power it's still ok, because you feel like it has more power. And when you let your friends ride on it and you say it got more power, their buttdyno will tell them it's got definitely more power
Title: It spins up...
Post by: The Buddha on March 15, 2004, 11:05:36 AM
It spins up quicker right... now the load is the same... in the same gear you tried to accelerate from approx the same start speed to the same end speed... and same rider on it who hopefully weighs the same as he/she did last time... and if it managed that quicker... that means its more power... Makes sense... accelerating under load is a measure of power, and if you did that in a shorter period of time you have more than before.
Cool.

heh... now that you mention it, i've also lost about 40lbs since the last time i rode too.  i guess that's probably worth something :)

OK fine carry 40lbs of weights with you in a backpack... and test it.

Title: found them

The 40lbs I picked up in the last 6 months must be yours, then.  Would you like them back?  I've decided I looked better without them.  :thumb:

OMG that's hilarous.  I'd love to see a few hard pulls with a bunch of weights in your backpack or strapped to the rear cowl.
