Title: Fork oil replacement
Post by: Jeff P on March 23, 2004, 08:59:47 AM
Hey guys.  I've got the Progressive springs on their way to my house.  I'm going to use Pablo's easy spring replacement method.

My question is about getting the existing fork oil out.  Pablo recommends using a syringe/catheter sort of thing.  I have a pump-start siphon that's long enough, anybody know if that'll do the trick?  Or is the oil to thick to siphon?

Any tips on making sure I've got the right amount once I put the new oil in?  I was thinking of measuring what I take out, then replacing slightly less than that due to the larger spring.  That sound like a good way to start?  thanks,

jeff

Checkout this thread, it's about 2 weeks old but will answer your questions. You will nedd to remove some oil to do the lazy way. I bought a turkey baster.
