Check that the petcock valve is not on Pri. This happened to me once, and I thought the bike was leaking gas. The Pri jsut lets gravity take over, and fuel falls through freely.

I get gas dripping, I think from there, after about 20 seconds if I leave the petcock on PRIme and shut off the motorcycle.  But it doesn't drip gas on PRIme if the engine is running.

Also, I once left it that way and overfilled the crankcase with gas.  Then, I got a gas-oil mixture dripping out the airbox when the engine ran (and a little while after).

Also, I usually park on centerstand, so a few days after I fixed the crankcase problem, I parked on side stand, and then it started dripping again.  I guess there was a pool of goo in the airbox, which did not fully drain until I parked on sidestand.

the carb has two 'T' connections between the carbs- the bottom one is for the fuel line and the top has a breather hose attached.  if that breather hose gets pinched, clogged or plugged, your vaccum will get messed up and gas will fill the airbox.  I routed my hoses wrong on my first jetting and found that too be the problem....
