I'd like to see some pictures of the guys who have brought the new 04 F models.
So far we only have one registered.
posted some on the wall of fame, enjoy.
Sweet lookin' bike dude.
Just one thing. Those handlebars look way out of place on that bike. Too tall, IMO. I wonder how/if srinath's bars or SM1 bars would fit?
Yea, I was thinking about new handlebars, how much are his?
Plans - Yosh exhaust, jet kit, new air filter, progressives, tank protector, rearsets, steering stabilizer ( if i can find one that will work ), already added xenon superwhite headlight (90/100W)
WooHoo. Finaly somebody gets one. I haven'y even seen one (up close) It does look pretty good except those handlebars. All in all, I'd probably trade mine in on a new 2004 if I could.
NIIIIICE :o
Now I need to see some blueness.
Anyone else think the white tail/blue uppers looks a little funky? I tend to prefer the yellow cause all the plastic is the same color. :P
For what its worth i took a few images of the 04 at the NEC bike show here in the uk , i took the liberty of taking a few close ups of some of the new upgrades too

and one of our members has just blagged a black version of the F

man i now want a 2004... waaah!
:o :o :o :o :?
Its so sexy!!! I wish the black were available in the US...I'd get it.
Arg....why is the blue one the only one with a different colored tail? :x The blue color is so pretty...if only the WHOLE bike was that color.
I picked up the new GS500F Saturday...yellow was all they had (and my gear is red...hmmmmm...), but you know what? I don't really care cause I'm in the first in the area to purchase one (got a discount for it) and you can always get it painted. I've got a good close-up on mine, I'll post it later (tonight, hopefully) when I can get my digital to maybe work. Unfortunately, the side I took a picture of has all my scuffs from laying it down (doh) cause the dang thing ran out of gas. (I think I was a little exhilerated about getting a new bike and spaced on putting any gas in it.) It tipped while I was poking around for the reserve switch conveniently hidden by my knee. I'm more happy that it's a sport bike that my short little legs can fit on and I'm not too tippy-toed (mind you I'm a girl, not a short, short man - no offense). I was pretty tired of my poor little GZ250 after 430 miles. I think I outgrew that bike 50 miles into it. Eh, maybe 100. Sorry, I'm rambling.
Sarah
sarah.. congrats on your new bike.. now to post your pic and the bike's pic on teh wall of fame.. :)
Don't motorcycle companies know that black and silver go with everything? Every year each bike should be offered in black or silver, along with some other color :)
That copper SV from a year or two back looked sweet though :thumb:
When you spend a good deal on your riding gear, it kinda limits what color bike you get ;)

Yea I like the GS500F but, I have a 96 and have pnly seen 2 of them in my area. Only saw them one time too. Glad you found this board though. Alot of helpful people. And may I be the first to suggest to all the new people with an F to cut the fender, even I haven't (parents won't let me :( )

Ohhhh... That works too... Though I am partial to my blue Teknic stuff... A little color is good!
Black is too dark for summertime ;)
Hey, another congrats on the new 04 F. And hurry up with the pictures! :P
I still need a see a blue one though...the pics fron that UK site are nice...but I wanna see one for "real" and not under lights, etc. Hehe.
I'll be getting mine soon...and I am so torn between yellow or blue. I wanna start ordering my riding gear now...but I can't choose what color to get! Gahhh! :dunno:
Alright, I got it posted. While it was uploading, I didn't realize a couple others had posted theirs up...looks exactly the same...except for the scars on mine. Which brings a question, is there touch-up paint anywhere that I might be able to snag? Anyway, it's at the very end, in front of my "old" baby that I've given up working on. I plan on riding the bike all week. The unusual almost summer-like weather here in the Pacific NW is to die for right now.
As for the blue '04, I had called the dealer I had, they don't have any in their wherehouse. I think Aurora Suzuki might have one, but from what I hear, it's still pretty sparse. I bet one state in particular hogged them all. Grrrrrr...
Have fun all!
Sarah
Looks REALLY nice. It took me a sec to see where you dropped it..so don't sweat it.
those bars look goofy and clipons would probably hit the fairing...
Yeah I noticed that...this bike looks like a sportbike in every place except riding position. The riding position looks a bit...standard. When you see the full fairings, race decals, etc. youe xpect it to be a really leaned over racing type position.
Blah.
Quotethose bars look goofy and clipons would probably hit the fairing...
Nothing a little Dremel tool can't correct, I'm sure. So who'll be the first to put his F under the knife? Let's see some drag-bars people!
What about the Srinath bars? They might just clear the fairing while still maintaining a more agressive cockpit. :dunno:
Clip-ons = sportier riding position right?
Hell, if I ever get mine...I'll do it. :)
I hate the way the upright position with full fairing looks.
Oh by the way...I found some "real" pics of the blue.

Also....really interesting...a comparison of it right next to the GSXR1000. Looks VERY similar!!

Damn, everything about this bike looks great to me except the freakin' armrests around the tank! :dunno: :x
Damn you, Suzuki! Damn you!! :bs:
"Damn, everything about this bike looks great to me except the freakin' armrests around the tank! "
Them little 'armrests' keep your legs a lot warmer than you'd think!
My dad's now put more miles on my bike than I have. I'm still yet to hop on the bike since I bought it last week and got my battle wounds. He has the big boat from BMW (K1200LT, I think) and claims that he's "breaking it in" for me. Good old parents, always looking out for the best even when you're on your own...
Sooooo sexy.
Jus thought I'd add that.
Just bought a GS500F last march. Overall very happy, doesn't seem to corner as well as the Kwak EX250 but has much more low end and don't have to work the gears as much on the new GS. Have about 1k miles so far and only problem was a couple of factory grommets kept falling out of the fairing causing really bad vibration, dealer fixed the problem by using larger grommets than the factory installed. Only question is if it's really necessary to check the valves at every service, I remember the 250 only had to be checked about every other service. First service was about $300 so maintanance will be pretty pricy considering how quickly I'm putting miles on this bike.
I have the black/silver one. Yellow is not available in Canada, only Blue/white and Black/silver. Because of the density of black, the bike is faster in the dark whereas police can catch the Blue/white ones
I'll take some pics when the sun ever comes out where I live ???(May)??
Cheers all
Welcome to GStwin, Jare16!
Ideally, you should do your services at the recomended intervals (oil change every 4000 mi, expecially on an air-cooled motor). And as a former m/c mech, I still strongly suggest that. A properly maintained vehicle is a properly operating vehicle.

Excellently stated. Worded so that true idiots can believe it without problems.
post some more pics guys..please..
