OK what is this part and who is it made by... Its a tiny square... will fit on the keys in a computer keyboard but the metal lip it has will be taller, its for screwing into the heat sink... The component is smaller than the key surface... and has 3 pins comming out the bottom... and it is black in color, screwed into a heat sink... On it says FE and the F is above the E and they are very very fat and very short. Next to it it says 64 and a big dot. below it it says D1071. So what is it and who makes it. Its in my virago's black box and its gone to heaven... The virago is using a blaxk box from a 82 750... which has had the wire plug in's changed to match my wiring... funny thing... a red with white is the same as red with white... even though its location is different... I swapped it to match my wiring harness and no more rear cylinder issues.
Cool.

Three prongs sounds like a transistor... look similar to this (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F011%5F002%5F017%5F000&product%5Fid=276%2D2041) ? as far as the D1071 thats prolly the manufacturer's number and unless you know the manufacturer that doesn't help you much....hope this gives you a start :dunno:

Like that... I need TIP142 in radio snack speak. I am going to shake down the geeks out there tonight and see what falls out of their pockets... also need some capacitors... 50V 4.7 micro Farad... I believe some ignoramus is going to get beaten tonight... most probably it will be the loser who asks me to spell "farad"...
Cool.
