Title: What do I need to buy to switch to clip ons?
Post by: Rich500 on April 07, 2004, 11:43:45 AM
Alright, I should know this, but Im a fool, and just want to make sure.
What parts do I need to buy to switch to clip ons? Im getting my fairing soon, and want clip ons. Whats gonna fit? Can I get the top crown from another bike, and then use that, or is going to be a Buddha Loves You to find something that will work? I really dont quite know.

Vortex makes some pretty sweet clip on's in 37mm (the size you need)

An 89 or any later year to 2000 I believe euro or aussie, or to 94 canadian... maybe 96 not sure ... top plate, 89 US risers only, and any year Katana 6/7 or even 1100 maybe or 89 US GS or to 94 canada or to 2000 euro or aussie tubes. Those tubes BTW I might be able to make them if you cant find it form my spare pieces of 1/8 wall tubing... The risers form europe and canada are high... like 3+ inches higher... than the US 89 ones. BTW Werase had some for sale. Srinath bars will do the same position and will work for clearance etc... just not real clip on's.
Cool.
Srinath.
