Title: GS is tearing it up!
Post by: Josh on April 08, 2004, 01:54:28 PM
This week we went all out and did a bunch of work to our GS500:
1. hooked up a Yoshimura full system exhaust (scored off craigslist)
2. a friend re-jetted the carbs
3. put in a K&N air filter
4. he also replaced fork seals and fork oil
5. put in progressive springs and 1.75" spacers

The bike tears now!  Its so nice... sounds great and has plenty of power... :guns:

syked to be riding!
but now we're completely broke... oh well.

Josh

Once you let the engine breathe, it really does wake up.  :thumb:

So that means like, ... considerably more power ??? Since there's been wheelie inquiries, would power wheelies(no clutching) be possible now in first gear perhaps? At any rate, congratulations!

sorry Ed, no power wheelies in first gear.  The front end will get light a little easier, but if you want the wheel off the ground you're still gonna be massaging the clutch.
