I find bugs in software, like the stuff Richard writes. Well, not really, because all the bugs are in the C++ code written by the OO application-layer folks ;) . I don't get much trouble from the C (operating system) folks. So take it from me, unit test your !@#$ code, or I'm gonna find the bugs and come after you, with reproducibility and documentation!

I was in a similar industry. Ever hear of Superior out of Minn? They were a sister company. I worked for one of the divisions that manufactured rock crushers, screens and feeders. They pulled the rug out from under me after 14 years and all I hope for now is their utter implosion as they are already struggling to stay profitable.
Today I am a full time student. Tomorrow, probably still a full time student, a couple years from now I hope to become a porn star with a CIS degree.

Oh yea, Superior is one of our biggest competitors in the OEM idler market. Astec takes some of our business as well. I work for Continental Conveyor, so I too hope for their demise. :thumb: I think many companies in this industry are struggling to stay profitable, the price of steel is chewing up our margins.
Good luck in school and enjoy... How I miss my college days. :(
a couple years from now I hope to become a porn star...[/quote]
If I had it all to do over again...porn would be it! :mrgreen:
It's been interesting to read this thread, we have had similar threads over on the SVRider.com board, it seems that the majority of people that own the "little bikes" tend to be in the tech/engineer end of the work force.
Myself, I'm a Electronics Engineering Tech heading up the patient monitoring service depot for the Canadian division of a large medical equipment company.
^ I've noticed that too, I bet there is a psychology thesis waiting to happen here.
I'm a ME turned plastic part designer. Consumer products/medical devices. But mostly "drug delivery devices" or bottle caps to the rest of the world. :roll:
:cheers:
Yea being tech geeks we like to use everything we got... now getting a 150hp spot bike... well wont have it used to its capacity, and harleys... the damn 20 grand bikes that run worse than our low budget bikes... doesn't again fit with using all you got. That's my angle... My virago 535 and KZ440 also appeal to that aspect of me. The vulcan sometimes gets used to its max, but the eli's and the GSXR I feel like ... what a waste.
Cool.
Srinath.
---> Being Spoiled Brat
