I was reading an article in this months MCst about the Breva and came upon some interesting facts.$7799 buys a bike with 41 Hp. and has a closer reach to the handlebars than my GSs. :?

Adelita is wanting to buy a Breva. She want a more cruizery bike and that is as close as I will let her go.

We test rode one a few months ago.  It a nice bike, the finish on it is very good, and it has that Italian Guzzi sexiness.  Power and acceleration wise it feels alot like a GS (ie: not much). But its only a 5 speed, it has a very smooth shift action, in fact when you are at the top or bottom of the gear box the lever doesn't stop like on a GS, the lever still goes, you just don't get anymore gears. Different strokes...

Overall I would say its a lateral transfer, not really an improvement over the GS500.  It looks slicker and the OEM aftermarket support is better, but its MUCH more expensive and its twisty performance probably isn't as good.
