Post by: South East Rocket on April 14, 2004, 01:56:28 PM
Current mods:
-GIX 750 rear shock
-Progressive springs + spacers up front
-Stage 3 jetkit
-K&N airbox
-Vince & Hines full exhaust
-Counter sprocket -1 tooth
-Chopped rear fender
-Flush mount rear turn signals

Last mods remaining to be done/installed:
-Polish the fens on the black engine (started on one side it looks good!)
-install rearsets
-replace my already low handbars with clipons

:dunno: So where can I get these goodies ? :dunno:

*Note to members that are gonna tell me to use use the search, I know I can and I'm too lazy to do it...  So save your breath !  :nana:

I have CRF Woodcraft rearsets, and so far they are about my favorite mod.  They are light, comfortable, and make me feel more connected to the bike.  I got mine from e-bay, but I also found a site selling them new by searching on yahoo.

I have rearsets available for sale for the GS500. Mounting bracket is made of aluminum. Designed for use with Woodcraft pegs.

$150 with pegs, $100 without. I'll include shipping in that price as well to all GSTwin.com board folks.

Retains stock shifter and brake lever.

Greg has the best prices for new ones, you might can find some used ones on ebay or a race board but dont bet on it. And greg's you know fit and work as he is a racer.

Clipons etc, just get new forks etc from I think its a GSXR or even a Katana (less adjustable I think than the GSXR). Pantablo has info on the GSXR ones. Or try finding GS clipons and the upper mount etc.

$150 gets the mountig plates, Woodcraft pegs and brake lever spring return shipped to your door.

Designed to retain all stock controls and mounting hardware. The brake lever spring return is integral to the stock mounting plate so I provide a spring and some washers that mount over the rear brake master cylinder actuating rod. It's a bit fiddly to setup at first, but once it is set, yer set.

The finish of the plates is a race quality. It is not the same high quality finish of the CNC machined Woodcraft item. The price reflects that difference. They can be polished but that will be up to you.
