Stepped up the jetting from 135's to 140's and headed out to the track today for some bracket racing. I ran a best of 14.14 at 91 letting off.... It was a KILLER launch and I really smoked a prepped Katana 600. I had to wait for him at the finish line.
On the first launch I had a lot more power because of the rejet and I was too aggressive with the clutch. The front wheel went sky high (like...REEELY high) - I just saw POW! blue sky..... and I thought... hmmm........don't let off....keep on it.....wow...I've been here for a long time....I wonder if I left the coffee pot on....oh ok there's the track again..BAM second....etc.. It was a 14.6 the slowest of the night and my feet were dragging asphalt until the front end came down.
Man, once I figured out the launch it was on like donkey kong. LOTS more power with the 140's. Next week I'll step it up to 145's and see what happens. I lost in the second round to a 'busa.. He kicked my a$$ off the line with a .096 reaction time to my .233. Whatever..I still ran a 14.15 et so I'm cool with that. I was kinda tired and my reaction times were very much off of what they were last week. I'll get em' next week.
So far the only mods to my bike are the K&N pod filter and the rejetting. Also I drilled a couple of holes in the stock can but I doubt that makes any difference. I have a supertrapp and new sprockets (15 front) ready to go on but I want to see how much I can get out of it in stock form by fiddling with the jets first.
I WANT A 13 FROM A STOCK BIKE!!!!
