ok, so i found out what was wrong with the bike. one of the hoses was bent, and my carbs were not getting feul :o i feel like a moron, 'cuz i could have easily fixed the problem without taking apart my entire bike. needless to say, i did anyway. i adjusted my fuel/air screww to 2 1/2 turns out, but my bike is still acting a little weird. it doesn't seem to stick at higher rpm's as much as it used to, and for awhile it was riding great. but it still rev's a little high, and for some reason it just stalled out on me, and i had to let it sit for awhile before it would start again. the only performance mod i have is a k$n air filter. not the pod, the one that just replaces the stock filter. do you guys think that i'm still running a little lean??
Dunno, probably not, but do you already have the size 40 non-bleeder type pilot jets?
no i haven't got the 40 pilots or 127.5 mains, i think i need. i've been having some trouble finding a place in chicago that will sell them to me. i actually got the bike riding again, turned out a vaccuum hose came loose somehow. i have to go to home depot and get a clamp for it. my revs still seem to hang high though. also, i was wondering about the jetting screws. they don't start out at the same position, so when i turned each one out 2 1/2 turns, they obviously didn't end in the same position. now, though, the bike seems to "pop" a little. like it just burned up a pocket of fuel??
I got my 40 non-bleed pilots from BikeBandit.com. Resonably priced but I think they may be a little backed with orders up this spring. Only problem is they send 4 jets. If I can find my extras, I am sure we can figure out a price. Let me know if you are interested.
