Title: electric issue
Post by: domik60 on April 25, 2004, 11:20:19 AM
ok  i trickle charged my battery 16 hours, hooked it up, got lights, and tried to start.  I got a clik sound like a short.  and nothing.... no lights nothing after a little bit of time another faint click and the lights go back on.   some sort of time delay fuse or something..   my question is - is my battery done for or would you say I have other issues?   I get about 13.8 volts across the poles.

Check the main and starter relays - also, try to jump start with a car (car engine off) if it starts fine that way, then the battery is probably the problem.  I bet on a bad relay.

stupid factor....check that the battery cables are tight...
the click is a relay doing it's job....ok might still have bad contacts in the relay
