I have a 2001 GS500 that I'm having a hell of a time finding a float bowl gasket for. The part number that the fiche and at Suzuki's website is not the gasket that I hold in my hand. There's a little loop at the bottom of the one they recommend that is not on the one I have. My local Suzuki store faxed them pictures of mine and the one they recommend, and they said that they don't make that carb anymore and don't have gaskets for it.
Any advice? Two weeks with no bike makes JrBobDobbs something something...
Gasket paper and a razor blade?
I have never actually purchased a float bowl gasket since they are so easy to make.
Those are O.K. in carbs? I was told that they are not.
