Title: Curious Question?
Post by: newbieone on April 27, 2004, 08:05:52 AM
yo,

here is the deal, from time to time when I dismount my bike I will glance back to take a second look at my beauty, and sometime the brakelamp is on.  So i just turn the ignition back on and then back off and it goes off? I can't seem to duplicate the occurance with either of the brake switches so that's got me curious bc i don't want to come out and find a dead bike.

Any suggestions?

thanks,
adam

It's simple... your bike is possesed. Call a priest.

Sounds like the ignition block (where you put your key) is the problem. Try pulling it out and using some electronic component clearner.

The park selection is very close, just past the Lock selection. You should feel a detent at Lock, that is where to stop turning the key and pull it out.

ding ding ding!

I've actually used the park position at sundown when I ran to the store and parked in the lot.  Last thing I wanted was some idiot knocking my bike over b/c they are oblivious in a parking lot.

Ever wondered what it would be like if everyone drove their car like they push around a shopping cart at Costco?  :o

If everybody pushed drove their car like they pushed their carts(costco or anywhere I've been), I would head for the hills so fast the cops wouldn't even realize what it was.......  Ok, that describes about half of the drivers I see on a daily basis.  I like being small, I can get away from them before the realize what was there.

Keep in mind(please), I'm not an insane rider, I just want to live to see the next sunset.
