front fender? or just the 4 smaller inner ones? or just the outters only? damnit :x ran into some white wet paint that was spilled at a intersection today, almost low side through the turn, now both tires have white stripe down the middle all the way in the treads, i stopped at a car wash asap and got most of it from under the rear fender, but man the whole front fender has paint all under neath it, im so damn pissed :x i stopped and told a cop, that they need to get a hazmat team and clean that shaZam! up, its like taking up 2 lanes. man to clean the tires, i'll have to hit some twisties this weekend and eat up some side wall tread.
yeah, you got to take off all 8....the 4 on top are easy but the ones on the inside (between the tire and fender) are real hard unless you remove the tire...i didn't know that so i spent 1 hour geting some extentions and small sockets to take off the fender without taking off the tire
So you got a case of the red-ass over the paint spill, eh? It's fortunate you don't have a white one, if you catch my drift...
In the time it took to write about your rant, you could have had all eight bolts out and working on the fender...
Did that paint get in the treads? There are some paint spill removers out there that could help loosen up that stuff so you can dig it out. The paint inside your fenders should be relatively easy, since there's probably a layer of dirt underneath it, and a trip to the coin-op car wash could blow it all out. Did your rear shock get coated? :cheers:
