Title: Fuel key cap spring?

Can you replace that little spring that holds the key cap down, mine is gone or broke and that stupid little cap keeps flipping up. Thanks.

yeah, they are free with a new cap.... :mrgreen:
else i think you have to make one from.....?????

Dam that sucks I wanted to keep the same key for all my keying needs.

Are you referring to the little spring that has the little ball bearing that holds the gas cap flap shut? Someone has to have a buggered gas cap  laying around... don't buy a new assembly...(and if you did buy a new assembly you can just swap your lock cylinder over to it....).

Let me rummage in my garage...I know I got rid of 1 or 2 of the bad caps I had but I may have one lurking somewhere.....

Any one else have a mangled cap (mangled lock or otherwise..)??
