Title: Suggestions on a fairing...???
Post by: juggernaught on May 01, 2004, 11:58:15 AM
Allo yall....ok....here's my latest inquiry....
I'd like something to break the wind in front of me.  Ok...enough with the snickering.....but seriously...i'm looking for a small but functional fairing or windscreen to help a bit with hi speed aerodynamics.  I had a big 'ol givi before my crackup that was very protective but big enough to install a wiper and sun visor.  Now i prefer something more low profile.  Do those double bubbles actually do anything...??  Thanks in advance.

The Yank from back east.

I recently got a new suzuki oem upper fairing off ebay, I mocked it up on the bike before I sent it off to get painted and couldnt really tell how much it would help with the wind, it sure didnt come up very high.  I should get it back this week from the painter so hopefully Ill know more then.

I've had a givi and can vouch for them myself but the one i had made my bike look like a police bike (according to a friend) which does have its advantages but i haven't seen an OEM or skids cockpit pairing so if any of yall have a piv please post.  Thanks for the input   :thumb:

And how 'bout these mirrors....input..?? feedback...?? will they vibrate too much to be useful..?  I like them to look cool but i prefer that they actually work.
