Same part number; you're good to go!
nicee... i need the whole front thing though the service place says they cant rethread the bleeder screws inside... so i hvae to buy a whoole new one around 170 dollars
dude, you might could re-tap it. It is hard to do bc the size and it being cast, but i think it would be possible go by the tool place and pick up a die that is the same size or slightly bigger, retap, insert a new set of treads if need be install new bleeder valve. sound like the more logical thing to do to me. or just plug the damn thing up and save your money and bleed the brakes another way. more in depth conversation though.
i bet there is at least on front caliper on ebay right now. save yourself $130 and pick one of those up instead of new.

ya i brought my bike to a shop(thinking its going to be a quick easy helicoil action... but they ruined my day saying i need a whoole new one... almost impossible to helicoil it right
if neone wants to buy my old 1996 front caliper clean and perfect(just a stripped bleeder inside) u can fix it up then sell it
