Title: Fairing Kits for GS500?
Post by: MATTXR250R on May 04, 2004, 07:08:04 PM
Hey Guys,New here.  Hopefully before long..couple months I am gonna get my first street bike...Going to get a GS500.  I like the 2004s because of the full fairing...I like the 2003 and older also but like the sportier look of the full fairing...I will probably buy used as money is a big issue.

If I get a used one and decide I want a full fairing kit does anyone know where I can get one?  I went to www.maier-mfg.com but when I went to products and then when to suzuki under the street section it wouldn't load :dunno:.

Also I am 18 years old..been riding dirt bikes for around 3 years...I have no points on my license...Lets say I got a brand new GS500F....what do you guys think Insurance would run me?  Just an estimate as i have no clue.  Thanks alot guys.

Matt

It will run you the same as what  one runs now  for me 2 tickets  (speeding)  $700 a year I have the most of the most for coverage 250,000 dollars per person 500,000 dollars per Accident  100,000 property.  Age 26 Insureance threw progressive and a note Insureance is based off of CC's  and the GS500E is 487 CC's same as the GS500E  **Note Take MSF corse  I did  it lowers insureance**

Hi matt, my insurance is 133 per year, liability only, with alpha property. No points charged on the bike.
Incidentally, I have a '93 for sale with a givi front faring. See my ad in the for sale forum if you are interested.
