Title: Finished the install of a new Pingel Petcock
Post by: klimber on May 05, 2004, 08:53:30 AM
there is a difference noticed

my bike would stutter at times above 50 mph :x , not a lot, but enough to get me to experiment

i did replace all existing hoses before trying this to no avail

so

i yanked the tank petcock, external petcock

then

installed a new pingel petcock on the tank, ran the line to an inline filter then to the carbs

it barely fits in there but nothing is squished

less tubbing that is fer sure

and at high speeds the stutter is gone

so

thumbs up on this mod if you are considering this

only problem, moving it to reserve is tricky, gotto reach deep :dunno:

later

Hey thanks for the info. Was it an easy replacement? If so what's the part #?
Thanks!
