Is there any tampa peeps in here that would like to ride with me? I have been riding for a month and a half and would like to meet some people here that ride gs500 and can give a sistah suggestions. I completed the the begginner riding course in Jan. and purchased my bike at the end of march.
Becky :)
Hi,
I'm south of you in Sarasota. I also am a newer rider and have had my bike for 4 months now. So far I've dropped it twice but luckily for me both were at very low speeds, one being a stationary drop :)
It's hard to find good roads around here, everything is so straight..where are the twisties :)
Hey, ya'll!
I'm in St. Petersburg. By the way, there are no twisties here. Not until you get north to at least Ocala, anyway. Bignuts45, start a thread in the Meet and Greet section, let's see what we can arrange. There's some nice roads in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, not particularly twisty, but nice.

Where do you mean?
I love to ride along casey key road, just south of sarasota in Nokomis. It runs along the gulf beaches, home to the rich and famous and just about the only place that I would class as a twisty - shame it's only a couple of miles long. Still, it's got beautiful views of the water, sea on one side, inland waterways on the other.
I live in west Broward County, about 10mins west fort lauderdale. havent been out west coast on bike yet. might have to make a run up that way.
I live right at I-75 and Fowler in tampa. 8)

Tell me where to go and I'll be there.

where would middle be for you ? I'm in Sarasota..is that middle for you all ?
Hey all. I'm in Bradenton and will have my ex race bike on the street in next couple of weeks. We should plan a GS meet and ride one of these weekends.
I've got some friends that own a pizza shop on SR64/Lakewood Ranch in West Bradenton. We could start/end there for some grub. Some of the roads in the SR64/SR70 area west of I75 are nice. They're fairly low traffic and picturesque, even if they're mostly straight. I'll do some recon over there. :)
i live just east of where I-75 hooks west, I-595 dumps right off onto I-75 or splits North for the SawGrass Express way. about 15 mins west of that (as the bike flys) is U.S. 27 from there a short distance is tollbooth for the Alligator Alley. then its miles before the swing North and the end of my knowlege of the area
just looked at a map, im on ther far east end of A.Alley, i would have to come across AA and north abit to meet middle ground for you guys, thats a Long hual. My front tire WONT handle that trip and dont have cash for new one just yet. Allthough my XJ tires are good if i can get "Carbs" for the Engine swap it needs.
