I think I asked once before if anyone was running Maxxis Promaxx tires. Well I just ordered a set. $113 for both. :) Yes this is another fine budget conscious descision by a GSTwin member. They look good in the photos, so I'll be the guinea pig for this test. I have this hangup for matching tire brands and treads, so since the rear was down to the wear bars I ordered a set. Heck, for $113, why not. :dunno: I will of course report on how they work out. Also, one of these days I'm going to have to install the progressive springs I bought. :) Too bad we're so far apart Kerry, I'd buy the pizza and rootbeer for a spring install party.
I could have helped you out with the springs, but I just moved away from Phoenix last weekend.
They aren't that hard to install. There are quite a few decent writeups for the procedure on the board as you are probably aware. (If not its worth a search)
I have a promax on back, its ok, holds up pretty decent for a cheap tire. its like cheng shins High Max, cheap, but nice ballence of grip and wear for its design.

I thought they should be OK. I mean how bad can they be compared the the original exedra tires? :dunno: And, even the originals have done alright for me. I haven't had any bad surprises from them.
how much did you get out of the exedra tires??

Well it had 3200 miles when I bought it. It now has about 4330. The rear is showing the tread wear bars. The front has a little more tread left. Once they get to the wear bars I swap 'em out.
