Title: Lowering a GS500
Post by: kimed on May 08, 2004, 09:38:39 PM
Wife has a base 2002 GS500 and would like it to be about  1" shorter. Dealer can't provide anything but believes it should be possible. Anyone have any ideas ?

Do a search on lowering or a search on dogbones ....

This subject has been discussed many times... essentially you can:

Make longer dogbones (part of the rear suspension ). You can change the rear shock ( Srinath will know which one..) or you can cut the seat foam down ( not as comfy...).

To lower the front you can slide the forks up in the clamps some.

Do a search- you'll find a bunch of info....
