But hey, these days that's less than 5 gallons of gas.  Which will get you what - 250 miles down the road?  A set of shims should last, say, 32 times that?  (8000 miles?)

Just trying to ease the (very real) pain....

Once you measure the clearances and determine what sizes you need (if it turns out that you need replacements), post the needed sizes here.  Richard and I have a few extra shims and Srinath has mentioned having some too.
