Title: quick carb question
Post by: LLrain710 on May 12, 2004, 03:08:04 PM
OK so i've gotten my bike back together and need to know two things real quick.  First, the hose that goes to the upper t of the carb.  This is the fuel overflow hose if im not mistaken, where does the other end of this connect?? Question two, the hose at the bottom of the airbox, i started the bike for a minute and the end of this hose spit some blackish gas smelling fluid out for a minute, is this normal, i did just clean the airfilter with gasoline, mabye that has somthing to do with it.  Thanks guys

The top hose, on the top cross bar between carbs is an atmospheric vent, it goes down by the airbox, and just allows atmospheric air that allows olther parts of the carb that work under partial vac. to move.

The hose on the bottom of the airbox is a drain. Yes, things will accumulate in it. What comes out is normal, relativly speaking.
