I put all read bulbs in my GS450(saves my night vision), and it worked out great. I plan on doing it soon(next week or so) on my GS500(brought home today) for the same reason. I like your idea, but it would really screw with my eyes :? :? :? :?
Don
hehe i hear ya, i guess it could get a little trippy, if you know what i mean
I put a red LED behind my spedo, and a red/blue led behind the tach, which gives it a purple tint. The purple doesn't look as bad as you'd think (I'll have to post a pic sometime) and since it's got red and blue in it you can see the redline on the tach, doesn't look the same color as the rest.
How quickly we forget! Richard, I have posted a picture of your gauges in the past.
Unless you've changed the colors or something....

I guess I could take a less blurry photo using my tripod or something. Interested?

wow. people are quick on the response today =] I had forgotten that you'd taken a picture of it. I think that's good enough for people to tell what I was talking about, but if you'd like we can take another. I'm at work today, though, so it'll have to be another time.
Is the tach light a blacklight? I remember you talking about them on here awhile back but I never caught what you're final decision was.
If it is a blacklight or L.E.D. where did u get it from?
it's not a blacklight... just a red/blue LED (led has both in it). I do have a blacklight, but at least with the gauges painted the way they are, they aren't reactive enough to make a blacklight cool.
however, superbrightleds.com is where I got mine.

You can grab your own and play with them, if you'd like... let me know if you come up with a good way to make the gauges react to it and look cool. =]
what would be really cool is to get the lines and text painted to a reactive white (or green or something) and the needle.
