Title: Carb-Engine Help
Post by: sprint_9 on May 18, 2004, 10:31:42 PM
I posted a while back and didnt get much help on this and think I need to look into my problem a little futher.  I discovered my problem when painting my exhaust, I noticed the kickstand side cyclinder exhaust header had a carboned rich look to it while the other side had a white brown tint to it.  I believe the white brown tint is normal to the GS, I have fouled one plug on the bad side and none on the kickstand side.  The bike runs great I just think this is something that needs to be fixed but I dont have any idea what the problem may be, any ideas are very welcome.  Thanks.

Also, I have checked the valves and they are good, I also did the thumb compression check and both cylinders where equal, I think my problem is more carb related.
Title: Float

OK I and betting your one of floats is higher than the other, and left is higher by ~2mm I would say. But it depends on who black and how brown... If black with puffy carbon like growth... more like 3mm. If its brown but more like wook like... like oak colored... then its a mm or 2 low.
Cool.
