Title: what a damm fine little machine
Post by: Tralala on May 20, 2004, 08:28:00 AM
Hi all GS fans

800 km on the GS now, it is a very funny machine to ride on. Nice accelerating up to 9000 rpm in second and third is nice. Fast in turns, flexible in the traffic. Handles like a dream in general, cheap insurance,  What more is there to say ? There is a lot, you tell me :-)

Inexpensive to maintain. (My wife doesn't think so) And, reasonably fuel efficient.
Title: Cheap...

It is cheap to maintain... just the damn mods will kill you... especially in the do overs... like it breaks and you do it again and it breaks again... and so on. Mine has needed nothing in the last 25K... ok 35K it ate its trigger coils and 45K its starter clutch... but still...
Cool.
Srinath.

This fr***ing forum and all the nice support from the people on it is the biggest GS draw IMO. It has a whole community of people devoted to it. I've been looking for three weeks for a YZF 600 forum with nice decent  people on it to no avail. Al I have been finding are boards with are should I change a sprocket so that I can do a power wheelie, how fast can I go on it, and questions like that or what kinda blinky things can I put on the bike etc...etc...
